Gender equality, Internationalisation, and Selection criteria

The selection of the Editorial Team members follows a protocol established by the Editorial Board. The board is composed of an equal number of representatives from the universities co-editing the journal and from external institutions, ensuring a balanced representation of women and men. This commitment to parity and gender equality is also upheld in the journal’s scientific committee.

Every two years, the board reviews and updates the composition of the scientific committee, drawing on the advice of former members of the journal’s Editorial Board and the current scientific committee. All appointments are formally recorded in the minutes of the board’s regular meetings.

Currently, the editorial team consists of 55% women and 45% men.
External reviewers in 2024 have been 40% men and 60% women.
Of the members of the Editorial Board, 45% belong to institutions other than those that publish the journal, and 89% of the members of the Scientific Committee come from external institutions. Among them, 18.2% and 77.8%, respectively, are affiliated with foreign institutions.
