Demografia i societat. Vila-real 1900-1940

Resumo

The following paper gives an outline of the demography of Vila-real during the first half of the 2Oth century, ending with the Spanish Civil War and its demographic consequences for the town. The demographic evolution (the demographic transition was taking place at the time) is related to the socioeconomic component (the productive sectors are analysed), thus establishing the bases for present day Vila-real society.
