Dinamisme i identificació de participants en la construcció discursiva de la nació estatunidenca

Resum
Aquest article analitza les eleccions lingüístiques mitjançant les quals els actors socials són representats en el discurs polític i el paper d' aquestes en la construcció de narratives nacionals. La investigació se centra en els discursos d'investidura de Donald Trump i Joseph Biden com a context exploratori crític. L' enfocament analític es basa en el contrast de les seves eleccions lingüístiques per assignar dinamisme mitjançant rols de transitivitat i per identificar participants mitjançant estratègies directes, indirectes i pronominals. Els resultats indiquen que Trump assigna rols d'Actor amb Objectiu que interpreten la ciutadania com a agents que influeixen en la realitat, mentre que Biden assigna rols d'Actor sense Objectiu que representen els ciutadans com a participants d'esdeveniments no causats. En la identificació de participants, Trump destaca per l'ús d'estratègies indirectes lligades a la qualificació possessiva i Biden, per l'ús freqüent de laprimera persona singular. Els resultats suggereixen que les estratègies identificades resen amb la construcció de narratives i identitats nacionals, ambdues permeades per les orientacions ideològiques dels líders polítics.
