As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submitted material must not have been previously published in or sent to another journal or publication, and must be original.
  • The file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • Web addresses must be added for references when possible.
  • The manuscript must comply with the bibliography and style requirements indicated in Guidelines, that you may find below.
  • The text complies with an adequate use of inclusive language
  • The text informs about whether the data of origin of the research take into account sex, in order to allow the identification of possible differences.
  • APA 7th Edition Guidelines have been followed, but full names of authors have been included.
  • The article/review template available below has been downloaded and used.
  • If the article includes images, authors declare having permission to use them.
  • In the metadata, the agencies or entities that have funded the research have been identified, together with the project codes. This information will also be included in the article document when it has been accepted for publication.

In the case of co-authorship or multiple authorship, the order of signatures in the article indicates the degree of contribution of each author to the manuscript. To detail the individual contribution of each author, it is recommended to follow the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy).

Additionally, the journal reminds authors that authorship is contingent on compliance with the principles established in the good practice guidelines of the Vancouver norms, the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the Code of Good Practices in Research and Doctoral Studies (CBPID) of Universitat Jaume I.

Authors will indicate the entities or projects that have funded their research in the metadata and in the body of the text, once accepted for publication.
