Our mission statement specifies that we aim to 'further through publication the Instituto Universitario de Estudios Feministas y de Género Purificación Escribano objective of advancing learning, knowledge and research worldwide in the field of Gender Studies'. As part of this objective, the editorial team itself adopts a neutral position on issues treated within the journal. Asparkía. Investigació Feminista serves to further academic discussions of topics related with feminism, and takes no stance toward the nature of such discussions whether they be of a religious, political, ethical nature, or other potentially or topically contentious subjects.

Asparkía works through a blind peer review process. Publication of an article in an academic peer-reviewed journal serves several functions, one of which is to validate and preserve the "minutes" of research. It is therefore of immense importance that these «minutes» are accurate and trustworthy. The act of publishing involves many parties, each of which plays an important role in achieving these aims. It therefore follows that the author, the journal editor, the peer-reviewer, the publisher, and the owner of Society- owned journals have responsibilities to meet expected ethical standards at all stages in their involvement from submission to publication of an article.

The Instituto Universitario de Estuidos Feministas y de Género Purificación Escribano and the editorial team of our journal is committed to meeting and upholding standards of ethical behaviour at all stages of the publication process. We follow closely the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, https://publicationethics.org), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ, https://doaj.org), and the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA, https://oaspa.org), Declaración Nacional sobre Integridad Científica (COCE, CRUE, CSIC, Madrid, 2015), that set standards and provide guidelines for best practices in order to meet these requirements.
