Abstract

The following pages provide an overview of the research project New Trends and Hybridizations of Contemporary Audiovisual Discourses, funded by the National R&D&I Plan of the Ministry of Science and Innovation for 2008-2011, reference code CSO2008-00606/SOCI, supervised by Dr. Javier Marzal Felici. Firstly, it outlines the main themes developped in the project, the theoretical background, the objectives pursued and the hypothesis that guides the research proposal. It continues reflecting about the different research methodologies that are followed to study the phenomenon of media hybridization in the context of the film image. Thirdly, we present the main research carried out under the project, and the work which is being done right now. The article concludes with the presentation of some lines of future research we intend to develop within the research group ITACA-UJI.
