Multilingüismo e identidades: nuevas representaciones, nuevos retos

Resumen

Con un concepto dinámico del término “identidad” en mente, este artículo introductorio al volumen Multilingüismo y representación de las identidades en textos audiovisuales indaga en la reproducción y la representación de las identidades (de género, raza, etnia, nación, etc.). El propósito es situar el foco de interés en cuestiones de identidad con un concepto más amplio e inclusivo, con un especial énfasis en la representación de las identidades en productos audiovisuales a través del estudio de la traducción de la diversidad de lenguas y de la variación lingüística.

María Pérez L. de Heredia, Universidad del País Vasco (UPV/EHU)

María Pérez L. de Heredia es licenciada en Filología Inglesa y doctora en Traducción por la Universidad del País Vasco, donde ejerce en la actualidad como profesora agregada en el grado de Traducción e Interpretación y en el máster en Literatura Comparada y Estudios Literarios. Forma parte del grupo de investigación consolidado TRALIMA (GIU16-48), además de encabezar el proyecto de investigación IDENTITRA (FFI2012-39012-C04-01T) como investigadora principal, subvencionado por el MINECO, y que se ocupa de la traducción y representación de las identidades en los audiovisuales multilingües (https://www.ehu.eus/ehusfera/identitra/). Sus principales intereses y líneas de investigación principales son aquellos aspectos de la traducción literaria y audiovisual relacionados con la ideología (censura, estudios de género) y la accesibilidad. Además de traducir para diferentes editoriales e instituciones, ha publicado libros, así como numerosos artículos y capítulos de libro en publicaciones nacionales e internacionales sobre las materias arriba señaladas.

Irene de Higes Andino es profesora ayudante doctora e investigadora en el Departamento de Traducción y Comunicación de la Universitat Jaume I y miembro del grupo de investigación TRAMA (Traducción y Comunicación en los Medios Audiovisuales). Imparte clase de traducción audiovisual (voiceover, doblaje y subtitulación) y accesibilidad audiovisual (audiodescripción para personas ciegas y subtitulación para personas sordas). Su investigación versa sobre multilingüismo, identidad, traducción audiovisual y accesibilidad. Licenciada en Traducción e Interpretación por la Universidad Jaume I y doctora en Traducción e Interpretación por esa misma Universidad con una tesis dedicada al doblaje y la subtitulación al español de filmes multilingües (http://hdl.handle.net/10803/144753), ha trabajado como ayudante de producción en un estudio de doblaje y como traductora especializada en artículos de cine, doblaje y voice-over para televisión, subtitulación y audiodescripción. También ha impartido clase en la Universidad Internacional de Valencia (VIU) y el ISTRAD.
