Alianzas y conflictos entre los poderes real y eclesiástico en la renconquista española

Abstract

The relation between the Church and the monarchy in the Middle Ages was not deprived of moments of alliance and conflicts. The aim of this paper is to analyze the competition between both powers in the case of the Iberian peninsula during the period known as the “reconquest” (XI- XIII). To achieve this we will study the goals that each power chased and the consequences this had over Muslim and Christian population.
