Resumen

Se cree que el Aprendizaje Basado en la Indagación (IBL, por sus siglas en inglés) proporciona una instrucción útil y significativa de la L2 gracias a su enfoque contextualizado y experimental. El IBL, que ha ganado popularidad en el aula de la L2 en los últimos tiempos, difiere considerablemente de las metodologías didácticas tradicionales y puede presentar desafíos para los educadores de la L2. Las investigaciones demuestran que muchos tienen problemas para adoptar un enfoque de indagación bien fundamentado y, en cambio, tienden a apostar de forma excesiva por estrategias destinadas a hacer comprensible el significado para los alumnos, descuidando así el enfoque en la forma del lenguaje, el uso del lenguaje y las habilidades de indagación. Esta revisión de la literatura examina las tendencias actuales en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la L2 cuando se implementa un enfoque de indagación estructurado en el entorno de la escuela primaria e intenta descubrir y evaluar varias estrategias de andamiaje que pueden emplearse para fomentar un enfoque más holístico al IBL. Las prácticas de andamiaje lingüístico descritas en este documento se clasifican en cuatro áreas de enfoque: enfoque en el significado, enfoque en la forma, enfoque en el uso del lenguaje y habilidades de investigación.
