Abstract
The transforming capacity of a museum requires that it accept its political nature and respond to the challenges faced by its community. Cultural institutions cannot separate their values from what they exhibit or communicate. A museum is part of the community. This article explains the policies of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Vicente Aguilera Cerni de Vilafamés, which lead to the creation of a space for permanent renovation of its collection, which is a clear social reflection, which seeks interaction with the public to which it is directs, and that defines itself as a feminist and acts accordingly.
