Abstract

This article presents the general framework in which the first protests and demonstrations in favour of sexual freedom in Greece developed, along with the events that led to the founding of the first movements for homosexual liberation. Specifically, the objective is to makeknown the main actors of the gay scene of Athens and Thessalonikiof the last quarter of the 20th century, the activitiesthey carried out, among which the press stands out, and the reasons that led to the dissolution of the movementstheyorganized.
