Abstract

Information is not only economic commodity or object of speculation. It is a right and an act of justice. The information does not belong to the owner of the media company. He has the right to exploit the service, but the right to information is a social mandate that exceeds it. Therefore, public television, born under these principles of civic belonging, should be an area of freedom and respect for workers and citizens: the first, as mediators and guarantors of the information veracity; the latter, as sovereign subjects receivers and holders the right to information.
