Eficacia del modelo de aprendizaje basado en proyectos en lengua inglesa en la educación superior: Un caso práctico en el Grado de Turismo

Resumen

Este artículo explora la implementación y el impacto del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP) en la enseñanza del inglés para el turismo en el Grado de Turismo en la Universidad de A Coruña. Reconociendo la creciente importancia de la competencia en inglés en la floreciente industria turística española, este estudio tuvo como objetivo mejorar las habilidades lingüísticas de los estudiantes y comprometerlos en experiencias de aprendizaje significativas. Los resultados indican que los estudiantes mostraron una alta motivación e interés en el ABP, demostrando la relevancia práctica del conocimiento teórico para sus futuras carreras. Al adoptar este enfoque de enseñanza innovador, los estudiantes no solo mejoraron su fluidez en inglés, sino que también adquirieron habilidades cruciales para el sector turístico. La investigación subraya la efectividad del ABP con estudiantes de primer año, demostrando su capacidad para completar con éxito proyectos de 12 semanas que integraron la aplicación práctica del contenido del curso y la adquisición de lenguaje. Este estudio aboga por el uso del ABP en la educación de idiomas extranjeros para cerrar la brecha entre el aprendizaje teórico y su aplicación en el mundo real.
