Abstract

RESUMEN

El propósito de este artículo es el de ampliar la información (hasta ahora publicada), de la actividad historiográfica medievalista de Vicente Aguilera Cerni, llevada a cabo durante sus primeros años de investigación sobre el arte valenciano, antes de dedicarse por completo al estudio del arte contemporáneo. En él se da cumplida cuenta de su planteamiento metodológico, así como de su especial interés por el gótico y los pintores llamados «primitivos» valencianos, especialmente Jacomart.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to broaden the information that has been published so far on Vicente Aguilera Cerni’s medieval historiographical activity, carried out during his early years of research on Valencian art, before devoting himself entirely to the study of contemporary art. Here, the reader will find a detailed explanation on his methodological approach and his particular interest in Gothic art and the so-called «primitive» Valencian painters, especially Jacomart.
