El gir ecològic dels museus industrials. Una anàlisi comparativa Regne Unit-Xina

Resum
Els museus estan experimentant un gir ecològic d'acord amb les actuals estratègies globals de desenvolupament sostenible. Aquest gir pot detectar-se també en el sector del patrimoni i els museus industrials, sobretot a Gran Bretanya i altres països occidentals, on noves preocupacions i accions mediambientals estan reconfigurant la manera de representar i utilitzar el passat industrial. En aquest article analitzem com aquest enfocament diferent s'està desenvolupant a la Xina. Per a això, prenem com a model l'experiència britànica i combinem anàlisis quantitatives i qualitatives per a estudiar cinc casos britànics i quatre xinesos. Defensem que els museus industrials tenen la responsabilitat de contribuir a solucionar alguns dels problemes derivats de la industrialització (en aquest cas, danys climàtics i ecològics), la qual cosa pot materialitzar-se amb una planificació sostenible i educació ambiental.
