Abstract

The arrival of digital make cinematographic world aware of new challenges and affords to it with new possibilities of creativity. This happens in a moment when the whole ways of filmic reception they are changing and the borders which defined the different types of storing, diffusion and management of new images. Images that can not be yet described through the old word old of audiovisual. This revolution allows us to take in consideration that the strength of the image lie less in its possibility of revealing a pre-existent visible world than in creating it. Working inside this complex space of permanent mutations a small group of filmmakers are exploring new creative paths.

Santos Zunzunegui Díez [santos.zunzunegui@ehu.es] es catedrático de Comunicación Audiovisual y Publicidad (Universidad del País Vasco). Semiólogo. Analista e historiador cinematográfico. Ha sido profesor invitado en las universidades de Girona, Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III), École Normale Superièure (París), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Louis Lumière-Lyon 2, Université de Gèneve (Suiza) y University of Idaho (USA). Entre sus principales libros se cuentan: El cine el País Vasco (1985); Pensar la imagen (1989); Robert Bresson (2001); Metamorfosis de la mirada. Museo y semiótica (2003); Orson Welles (2005);  La mirada plural (Premio “Francisco Ayala” de Comunicación Audiovisual”, 2008).
