Background, practices of collaborative film production (Collaborative production as film-making process) collaborative audiovisual production and experience, in order to set a critical social imaginary. The article collects draws on a serie of case studies that argues the emergence of experiences and practices of collaborative production imbricated with physical and virtual communities such as Cinema Non-Authorship, Remapping Europe and Long Short Story. These collaborative practices may lead to the creation of counter-hegemonic discourses on agency and the construction of representations as part of processes of democratic participation and social justice.
