Abstract

Transition experienced by trans people shakes Social Sciences conven-tional understanding of time and space as static analytical units based on tradi-tional biological and physical axioms. Overcoming sexual binarism entails also questioning time and space as isolated elements to become, instead, entangled realities. Departing from trans studies and Halberstam´s concepts of queer temporalities and space as theoretical framework, this papers lines up the indi-vidual story of a trans man with physical disability and ASD (using a case study within an inclusive methodology scope) with social “trans-formations”, by linking the exposition of the body with the transgression of heteronormative cis time, to be replaced, gradually by trans temporality and new ways of cohabitating spaces.

Hernando Carlos Gómez Prada, UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL DE EDUCACIÓN A DISTANCIA (UNED)

Hernando C. Gómez Prada es doctor, con mención internacional, en Comunicación Audiovisual, Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas (UCM) y profesor ayudante doctor acreditado por la ANECA. Licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual (C.E.U) , Máster en Estudios de Género (UNED), Máster en Estudios Avanzados en Comunicación (UMU) y Máster en formación del profesorado (UCAM). Sus líneas de trabajo e investigación son la estética y teoría del cine y de los medios audiovisuales; la cultura audiovisual y los estudios culturales, de género, lgtb y edad (aging studies).
Su investigación incluye, entre otras, diversas publicaciones en revistas académicas de impacto indexadas en las principales bases de datos, además, la publicación de ocho capítulos de libro publicados por editoriales de prestigio (SPI). Igualmente ha participado en congresos nacionales e internacionales y en dos de ellos, Universidad de Rostock (Alemania) y Universidad de Chiapas (México), fue invitado como Keynote speaker.
Ha sido Guest Lecturer en la Universidad de Leipzig (Alemania) y realizó una estancia de investigación de 3 meses en el Intitut de la Comunicació de la Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (InCom-UAB).

Agustina Varela-Manograsso, UCLM

Agustina Varela-Manograsso is PhD in Philosophy by the University of Murcia. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in MASCAGE project (Gendering Age: Representations of Masculinities and Ageing in Contemporary European Literatures and Cinemas), funded by the Gendernet-Plus Era-Net Co-fund program of the European Union and linked to the University of Castilla-La Mancha. She is also a member of the work team of IUSFRONT project (“Borders, Democracy and Global Justice. Philosophical Arguments around the Emergence of a Cosmopolitan Space”), funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain; and she is part of the editorial team of “The Philosophical Laboratory on the Pandemic and the Anthropocene” project, as well as of the Journal Pensamiento al margen. During her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she has been award with fellowships to study at the University of Salamanca (Spain), the National University of Córdoba (Argentina); the University of Hull (England); the Free University of Berlin (Germany) and Bard College (New York, The United States). Her research interests revolve around aging and gender studies, intersectionality, individual and collective identities, social inclusion/exclusion, and violence studies. She has participated in international conferences and her papers have been published in academic journals of medium and high impact index.

 

Marcos Alonso Bote Díaz, Universidad de Murcia

He holds a degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Granada and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Murcia and has been a postdoctoral fellow abroad at the Universities of Surrey (Marie Curie Programme, United Kingdom), Portland State University (CajaMadrid Postdoctoral Programme, Oregon, United States) and UCLA (Mec-Fulbright Programme, California, United States). He is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Murcia. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the University Institute for Research on Ageing at the University of Murcia and has recently (2019) been awarded a Leonardo Grant for researchers and cultural creators from the BBVA Foundation. He has published, among others, in international journals such as: Social Science and Medicine, PlosOne, Sociological Research Online and Early Child Development and Care.
