Resumen

Populism: a very short introduction es un breve y completo manual sobre el fenómeno populista. Entre las virtudes de sus apenas 131 páginas: la concisión, la claridad expositiva y la precisión de conceptos y teorías elaboradas principalmente desde la filosofía política. Entre sus debilidades, con las que nos tropezaremos al final de esta reseña, el intento de universalizar su comprensión más allá de los patrones culturales e institucionales de Occidente y más allá de las democracias liberales.

Biografía del autor/a

David Murillo Bonvehí, Universitat Ramon Llull. ESADE Business School. Departamento de Ciencias Sociales.

PhD in Sociology. Degree in Humanities and in management Sciences. Since 2006 he is a lecturer of the Department of Social Sciences at ESADE Business School, and conducts research at the Institute for Social Innovation of the same school in areas like social innovation, business ethics, globalization and critical management studies. His latest works are From Walmart to Al Qaeda. An interdisciplinary approach to globalization, published by GreenLeaf in 2015 (Axiom Business Book Award 2016: Bronze Medal Winner in the International Business/Globalization category) and the articles ‘The Business School’s Right to Operate: Responsibilization and Resistance’ published in the Journal of Business Ethics (2016) and ‘When the sharing economy becomes neoliberalism on steroids: Unravelling the controversies’ published in Technological Forecasting and Social Change (2017).
